The biggest teddy bear in the world: Xonita

The town of Xonacatlán in the state of Mexico is recognized nationally as the land of the teddy bear, now it will be worldwide after manufacturers will create the largest sleeper bear in the world with what set a Guinness record.

Some 60 producers created "Xonita", for more than two months they made each of the parts of the unique piece of four tons in weight and 20 meters long in one of the workshops in this locality.

The figure was exhibited in the Gustavo A Villavicencio soccer stadium from very early where thousands of people arrived to admire it and take pictures this Sunday near the city of Toluca.

At one point what seemed like a party turned into uncertainty for the people who came to the place due to the meticulous process to officially certify it in the Guinness Book which took hours for the jury.

Even the weather interrupted its validation, the rain threatened to lose the celebration of the families that for decades have found in the manufacture of stuffed animals their main economic source.

This activity provides jobs to more than six thousand people to make up, create and distribute all kinds of figures in Mexico which has made the area famous in recent years and seeks to be the main producer.
