El huracán Michael se fortalece y alcanza la categoría 4 / Michael strengthens to a Category 4 hurricane "Move Now"

El huracán Michael subió hoy a categoría 4. Con vientos máximos sostenidos de hasta 210 kilómetros por hora en su avance por el Golfo de México en dirección al estado de Florida, según informó hoy el Centro Nacional de Huracanes (NHC) de EE.UU.

De acuerdo al último boletín del NHC el ojo de Michael está ubicado 275 kilómetros al suroeste de Apalachicola y 290 kilómetros al sur-suroeste de Panama City, ambas en Florida, y avanza en dirección norte a una velocidad de 19 kilómetros por hora.

El NHC alertó en este último boletín de que la fuerza de Michael supone una “situación de peligro mortal”.

Michael strengthens to a Category 4 hurricane

Hurricane Michael climbed today to category 4. With maximum sustained winds of up to 210 kilometers per hour in its advance through the Gulf of Mexico towards the state of Florida, as reported today by the National Hurricane Center (NHC).

According to the latest NHC bulletin, Michael's eye is located 275 kilometers southwest of Apalachicola and 290 kilometers south-southwest of Panama City, both in Florida, and is moving north at a speed of 19 kilometers per hour.

The NHC warned in this last bulletin that the force of Michael is a "situation of mortal danger."
